YPA Competitions

The competitions are held once a year at the Annual Convention and are judged by judges on the ABPS list but from outside Yorkshire.

The YPA has adopted the ABPS criteria as applicable to single frame competitions and accepts entries in all the nationally recognised disciplines including literature. ​Full descriptions of each category and the marking schemes can be accessed by clicking on this link.

​The competitions are open to exhibitors from any affiliated society provided that the exhibit is of at least Silver standard at Club level.  First and second place entries will usually be displayed at the Convention, plus as many other exhibits as the available frame space allows.
