Founded in 1940, the Harrogate Philatelic Society continues to thrive.

We meet every other Friday evening from September through to May/June.

We are a friendly Society and have members of all levels of experience who are willing to share their knowledge.

We have a very well supported Exchange Packet that enables members to buy and sell stamps and postal history items, including postcards, economically.

We hold an Annual Dinner for members and their partners and friends.

Membership costs just £10 per year, or Country Membership is available at a reduced rate of £3 per year for people living more than 25 miles from Harrogate and not attending more than 3 meetings a year.

Membership is £10 per year. A reduced rate of just £3 per year (Country Membership) is available for people who live more than 25 miles from Harrogate and not attending more than three meetings per year.

Packet Secretary:

For Exchange Packet enquiries eg if you would like to offer items for sale, (the Society charges 10% commision plus insurance and return postage costs) contact: Mr Keith Burton, telephone 01423 569907. Only members can participate in the Exchange Packet. People living outside Harrogate wishing only to supply material for the packet can become Country Members for £3 per year.

Our Displays:

Our displays are normally of 2 rounds of up to 120 sheets each round. We have six double-sided frames with 2 rows of 5 sheets on each side. Visiting speakers will be refunded their expenses.

Tea/coffee and biscuits are available in the interval between rounds. Our meetings usually finish between 9pm and 9.30pm.
